No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ovarense (3-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked Ginasio (0-6) 77-41 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ovarense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ginasio to just 7 points in second quarter. Ovarense made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Ginasio turnovers. Ginasio was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St.) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Andre Pinto (200-80) chipped in 12 points. Ovarense's coach Mario Leite felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ovarense moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lusitania. Loser Ginasio still closes the standings with six games lost. Ovarense will face Sampaense (#9) in Coimbra in the next round where they are favorite. Ginasio will play on the road against the league's second-placed FC Porto Ferpinta and hopes to get finally their first victory.
