LKL top team - Lietuvos rytas (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Techasas (0-6) in Vilnius 80-55. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a quality performance for the former international guard Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) who led the winners and scored 19 points. FYR Macedonian center Predrag Samardziski (214-86, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Lietuvos rytas' coach Aleksandar Dzikic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (190-89) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Techasas in the defeat. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Techasas still closes the standings with six games lost. Lietuvos rytas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Techasas will play against Sakalai (#9) in Vilnius and hopes to get finally their first victory.
