There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Giurgiu (2-6) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Otopeni (2-6) 57-48 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Otopeni dominated on the defensive end, holding Giurgiu to just 6 points in second quarter. They held Giurgiu to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.8 percent accuracy of the winners.
