Regular Season Round 12: Naestved - Horsholm 88-82
Date: November 20, 2011
There was no surprise when 5th ranked Horsholm (5-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Naestved (8-4) 88-82. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists and forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: Stephen F. Austin, agency: I.D.S. Law) supported him with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) did not help to save the game for Horsholm. Power forward Joe Benjamin (201-83, college: W.Virginia St.) added 22 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Naestved have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-4 record having four points less than leader Svendborg. Horsholm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Naestved's next round opponent will be league's leader Svendborg on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Horsholm will play against SISU (#5) in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
