We should mention about the upset which took place in Karlsruhe, where higher ranked USC Heidelberg (5-5) was outleveled in a road game by fourteenth ranked BG Karlsruhe (2-8) 88-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BG Karlsruhe. USC Heidelberg was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
