The most important game in the last round took place in Braunschweig between third ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets (7-4) and sixth ranked Hertener Loewen (7-4) on Sunday night. Spot Up Medien Baskets were defeated by Hertener Loewen in a tough game at home 87-94. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Spot Up Medien Baskets won second period 24-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hertener Loewen won last quarter 21-16. They made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game.
