TBL top team - Anadolu Efes (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Hacettepe Univ. (1-5) in Istanbul 98-64. Slovenian guard Sasha Vujacic (200-84) notched 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Cenk Akyol (196-87) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by American-Georgian swingman Melvin Sanders (196-81, college: Oklahoma St., agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Hacettepe Univ.. Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Hacettepe Univ. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Trabzonspor. Anadolu Efes will play against Karsiyaka (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
