Regular Season Round 15: Delikatesas - LKKA-Atletas 74-59

Everything went according to plan in Joniskis where second ranked Delikatesas (11-4) beat 4th placed LKKA-Atletas (8-7) 74-59 on Friday. The game without a history. Delikatesas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to LKKA-Atletas' 28. Delikatesas forced 20 LKKA-Atletas turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 assists. Forward Mindaugas Keras (200-85) helped adding 7 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was center Tomas Urbonas (214-92) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds and guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) scored 14 points and 5 assists. LKKA-Atletas' coach Edas Nickus rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Delikatesas used an opportunity after Radviliskis lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser LKKA-Atletas dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Delikatesas will face again LKKA-Atletas (#6) in Kaunas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
