Regular Season Round 7: Triglav - Rogaska 84-42

SKL top team - Triglav (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Rogaska (1-6) in Kranj 84-42. The game was mostly controlled by Triglav. Rogaska managed to win second period 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rogaska to just 6 points in first quarter. Triglav held Rogaska to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Triglav forced 21 Rogaska turnovers and outrebounded them 48-29 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Ziva Zdolsek (178-89) fired 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Masa Pirsic (184-86) chipped in 1 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Anja Lesjak (173-84) produced 15 points and the former international guard Simona Jurse (171-71) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Triglav have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Loser Rogaska keeps the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Domzale. Triglav will meet at home Pomurje (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Rogaska will play against Domzale and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
