Regular Season Round 11: Final Genclik - Orman Genc 79-76

Eighteenth-ranked Orman Genc (2-8) was very close to win a game against eighth ranked Final Genclik (7-3) in Bursa. Final Genclik managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Orman Genc. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But Orman Genc won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa, agency: Edge Sports) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). point guard Esat Sinanoglu (188-82) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Forward Hasan Karabulut (202-81) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Onur Bolat (204-80, agency: EM-PA) added 12 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Four Orman Genc players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Final Genclik moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maliye Milli. Orman Genc at the other side dropped to the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Final Genclik's next round opponent will be league's leader Genc Telekom in Ankara and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orman Genc will play on the road against Darussafaka (#8) in Istanbul.
