The game in Marijampole was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Lemminkainen (5-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Suduva (2-6). Lemminkainen managed to secure a 4-point victory 78-74 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Suduva won third quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lemminkainen forced 22 Suduva turnovers. It was a very good performance for Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Sandra Vaitkute (197-87, college: Gardner-Webb) contributed with 8 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Belarusian center Tatsiana Melnikova (190-87) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Ligita Kinkeviciene (173-76) added 18 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Suduva. Lemminkainen moved-up to third place, which they share with Sirenos. Suduva lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Lemminkainen will face bottom-ranked Ruta Siauliai (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Suduva will play against the league's leader VICI-Aistes in Kaunas.
