Regular Season Round 13: TSV Troester - Langen 86-81

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked TSV Troester (5-6) defeated higher ranked TV 1862 Langen (6-5) in Breitenguessbach 86-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-81. TV 1862 Langen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Croatian forward Ivan Pavic (201-81) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Stefan Dinkel (183-89, college: Dawson CC) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four TSV Troester players scored in double figures. TSV Troester's coach Jamie Duncan allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Marco Voeller (201-89) answered with 23 points and forward Sebastian Greene (203-84, college: Fordham) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for TV 1862 Langen. TSV Troester moved-up to eighth place in Group South, which they share with Hanau. Loser TV 1862 Langen dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. TSV Troester will face Hanau (#8) at home in the next round.
