Regular Season Round 16: LKKA-Atletas - Delikatesas 90-77

The most important game in the last round took place in Kaunas between second ranked Delikatesas (11-5) and sixth ranked LKKA-Atletas (9-7) on Saturday night. Delikatesas was defeated by LKKA-Atletas on the road 90-77. The game was mostly controlled by LKKA-Atletas. Delikatesas managed to win third quarter 26-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LKKA-Atletas shot 66.0 percent from the field. LKKA-Atletas had a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for LKKA-Atletas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Delikatesas' players. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) fired 25 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Vidmantas Sragauskis (200-86) chipped in 29 points. Guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) produced 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and swingman Vaidotas Jatulevicius (194-88) added 16 points respectively for lost side. LKKA-Atletas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Triobet and Meresta. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. LKKA-Atletas is looking forward to face S.Marciulionio (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Delikatesas will play against Nafta Universitetas (#4) in Klaipeda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
