Regular Season Round 10: Horsens - Amager 101-63

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Amager (4-6) against fourth ranked Horsens (5-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Amager was crushed by Horsens in Horsens 101-63. The game without a history. Horsens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 46 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Amager 38-21 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Brittany Bowen (177-88, college: Butler) notched 47 points (!!!) and 4 assists (made all of her eleven free throws !!!) to lead the effort and Australian guard Charmaine Furgeson (176-86) supported her with 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Horsens players scored in double figures. Even 22 points by swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) did not help to save the game for Amager. Power forward Mathilde Fogelstrom (184-93) added 14 points for lost side. Horsens moved-up to third place. Amager lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Aabyhoj and Vaerlose. Horsens will meet Falcon (#7) on the road in the next round. Amager will play against the league's leader SISU in Copenhagen and hope to secure a win.
