There was no surprise in Wuerzburg where 12th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (3-6) was defeated by fifth ranked s Oliver Baskets (7-3) 67-58 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American point guard John Little (180-84, college: N.Iowa) fired 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Ben Jacobson (188-83, college: N.Iowa) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Lithuanian forward Donatas Zavackas (203-80, college: Pittsburgh) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Johannes Lischka (203-87) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. s Oliver Baskets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Art.Dragons. EnBW Ludwigsburg lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. s Oliver Baskets will face EWE Baskets (#9) in Oldenburg in the next round where they are favorite. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play at home against TBB Trier (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
