There was no surprise when bottom-ranked BG Illertal/Weissenhorn (0-11) lost at home to second ranked Noerdlingen (9-2) 89-79 on Sunday. Noerdlingen made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for American guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Fabian Brutting (189-88) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Michael Wenzl (209-91) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and forward Femi Oladipo (201-90, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for BG Illertal/Weissenhorn. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Noerdlingen. They used an opportunity after Gotha lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position in Group South. BG Illertal/Weissenhorn lost their eleventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Noerdlingen will face Dragons Rhoendorf (#5) on the road in the next round. BG Illertal/Weissenhorn will play against the league's leader Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#1) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
