Undefeated leader Lukoil Academik delivered the eighth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Spartak Pleven (1-7) 88-77 in Sofia. The game was mostly controlled by Lukoil Academik. Spartak Pleven managed to win third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lukoil Academik dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 34. Lukoil Academik forced 20 Spartak Pleven turnovers. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Brandon Heath (193-84, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and the former international swingman Todor Stoykov (198-77, agency: Interperformances) who added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest.
