Very expected game when 13th ranked ETB Wohnbau (4-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kirchheim Knights (9-3) 91-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kirchheim Knights. ETB Wohnbau was better in second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kirchheim Knights made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. ETB Wohnbau was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Ahmad Smith (194-84, college: St.Bonaventure) stepped up and scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Devin Uskoski (198-85, college: Rocky Mountain) chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds. Kirchheim Knights will face Cuxhaven BasCats (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ETB Wohnbau will play against BG Karlsruhe (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
