There was a minor upset when higher ranked Balikesir (3-8) was edged at home by twentiethth ranked Tire Gucu (3-8) 66-63 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 32-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Tire Gucu forced 19 Balikesir turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Tyrus Boswell (202-78, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: EM-PA) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Cemal Bayraktar (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and power forward Orbay Kaya (205-82) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Balikesir's coach Ismail Dogrutekin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tire Gucu moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Balikesir and Baskent Genclik. Balikesir lost fourth consecutive game. Tire Gucu will face higher ranked Usak (#14) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
