The game in Falcon was also quite interesting. Third ranked Horsens (6-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Falcon (3-8). Horsens did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 63-46 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens. Falcon managed to win second period 16-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Falcon to just 2 points in first quarter. The best player for the winners was American swingman Brittany Bowen (177-88, college: Butler) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Australian guard Charmaine Furgeson (176-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Horsens players scored in double figures. American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and forward Charlotte Hansen (176-82) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Falcon's coach Steffen Lund tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Horsens. They maintain third place with 6-5 record having five points less than leader SISU. Falcon lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Lemvig. Horsens will meet at home bottom-ranked Lemvig (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Falcon will play against the league's second-placed Horsholm and hope to secure a win.
