Regular Season Round 8: Benfica - Ovarense 70-68

The most exciting game of round 8 in the LPB took place in Benfica. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Ovarense (5-2) to top-ranked Benfica (8-0) 70-68 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ovarense. Ovarense was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Seth Doliboa (203-80, college: Wright St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Ted Scott (188-85, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who added 12 points and 4 assists during the contest. American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Fernando Neves (194-80) scored 20 points and 4 steals. Ovarense's coach Mario Leite rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Benfica have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Ovarense at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Benfica are looking forward to face league's second-placed FC Porto Ferpinta at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ovarense will play against Vitoria SC in Guimaraes and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
