TKBL round 7 most important game was a victory of Botas over 8th ranked Antakya 70-67 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Antakya. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 17-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Monica Wright (180-88, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Botas players scored in double figures. American guard Shannon Bobbitt (157-85, college: Tennessee) answered with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian guard Mactabene Amachree (190-78, college: Abil.Christian) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Antakya. Botas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ceyhan Bld and Samsun. Newly promoted Antakya dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Tarsus Bld. Botas is looking forward to face Samsun (#6) at home in the next round. Antakya will play against Mersin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
