Very predictable result in Istanbul where eighth ranked Darussafaka (7-4) smashed 18th ranked Orman Genc (2-9) 80-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Darussafaka. Orman Genc was better in third quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Orman Genc was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Muhammed Baygul who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Dogukan Sonmez (206-92) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Onur Bolat (204-80, agency: EM-PA) with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Sinan Ozgur scored 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darussafaka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Orman Genc at the other side keeps the eighteenth position with nine games lost. Darussafaka will face higher ranked Optimum TED (#4) in Ankara in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
