The game with biggest result difference took place in Angra Heroismo. Local Terceira Basket (2-6) was outscored by ninth ranked Academica (3-6) 91-69 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Academica. Terceira Basket managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Academica dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira Basket's 42. They outrebounded Terceira Basket 45-22 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Academica looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) chipped in 20 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Academica players scored in double figures. Academica's coach Orlando Simoes felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
