There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Usak (4-8) was outplayed on the road by seventeenth ranked Tire Gucu (4-8) 95-69 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-69. Tire Gucu outrebounded Usak 41-25 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. J.Anthony Carter stepped up and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) for the winners and guard Cemal Bayraktar (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side center Engin Algin (202-75) responded with 17 points and American guard Dijuan Harris (175-86, college: Charlotte, agency: ARN Sports and Entertainment) scored 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Usak players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tire Gucu moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Usak and Baskent Genclik. Usak lost their seventh game in a row. Tire Gucu will face higher ranked Maliye Milli (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
