Regular Season Round 19: Gargzdai - ABRO-Univ. 73-78

Bottom-ranked ABRO-Universitetas managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of four consecutive loses. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Gargzdai-Bremena 78-73. Gargzdai-Bremena was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Julius Jucikas (205-89) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Rokas Giedraitis (195-92) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. point guard Dominikas Matutis (180-91) came up with 18 points and 4 assists and forward Renatas Jonelis (201-84) added 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Gargzdai-Bremena in the defeat. ABRO-Universitetas (5-14) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Gargzdai. ABRO-Universitetas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Statyba (#9) in Vilnius and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gargzdai-Bremena will play on the road against Ezerunas-Karys (#12) in Moletai.
