Everything went according to plan in Quakenbrueck where fourth ranked Artland Dragons (8-4) beat 12th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (4-7) 95-79. It looked good early as EnBW Ludwigsburg took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Artland Dragons had a 27-17 second period charge getting the lead and EnBW Ludwigsburg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-95. Artland Dragons made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican forward Nathan Peavy (203-85, college: Miami, OH) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds. American guard David Holston (170-86, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall, agency: Court Side) replied with 22 points and Lithuanian forward Donatas Zavackas (203-80, college: Pittsburgh) added 17 points in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artland Dragons maintains fourth position with 8-4 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side dropped to the thirteenth place with seven games lost. Artland Dragons' next round opponent will be EWE Baskets (#10) in Oldenburg where they are favorite.
