There was no surprise when 11th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (5-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (8-6) 64-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BV Chemnitz 99. Ehingen/Urspringschule was better in fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BV Chemnitz 99 dominated on the defensive end, holding Ehingen/Urspringschule to just 4 points in third quarter. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) who scored 8 points and 19 rebounds. point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) chipped in 7 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. BV Chemnitz 99's coach Felix Schreier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
