1.Bundesliga top team - Brose Baskets (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked s Oliver Baskets (7-5) in Wuerzburg 75-59. The game was mostly controlled by Brose Baskets. s Oliver Baskets managed to win fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Anthony Leon Tucker (198-85, college: Texas) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Slovakian guard Anton Gavel (189-84, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Four Brose Baskets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Chester Frazier (188-86, college: Illinois) who recorded 10 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Ricky Harris (188-87, college: Massachusetts) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-2 record, which they share with Ratiopharm. Newly promoted s Oliver Baskets dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with B.Muenchen and Bremerhaven. Brose Baskets will meet at home Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#5) in the next round. s Oliver Baskets will play against Phoenix Hagen and hope to secure a win.
