Regular Season Round 10: Jedinstvo NB - Konstantin 76-79

The most exciting game of round 10 in the B League took place in Novi Becej. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Jedinstvo NB (4-6) to third ranked Konstantin (7-3) 79-76 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-17. But Jedinstvo NB won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 27 personal fouls committed by Jedinstvo NB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Vladimir Velickovic (178-89) fired 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Swingman Marko Cvetkovic (197-77, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Vuk Pekovic (183-89) produced 17 points and 4 assists and center Miljan Radenkovic (203-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jedinstvo NB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Konstantin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Jedinstvo NB dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Beovuk 72 and Vojvodina. Konstantin are looking forward to face Beovuk 72 (#12) in Beograd in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jedinstvo NB will play on the road against Vojvodina in Novi Sad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
