Regular Season Round 12: Horsholm - Falcon 63-53
Date: December 10, 2011
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Horsholm (10-2) defeated at home 7th ranked Falcon (3-9) 63-53. It looked good early as Falcon took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Horsholm had a 18-9 second period charge getting the lead and Falcon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-63. Horsholm made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Falcon turnovers. It was a good game for American power forward Lauren Beckley (181-91, college: Shippensburg) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Amalie Bonde (167-89) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Forward Charlotte Hansen (176-82) replied with 16 points and forward Emilie Klint (170-93) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Falcon. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Horsholm maintains second position with 10-2 record having just two points less than leader SISU. Falcon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Lemvig. Horsholm will play against Horsens (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
