An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hannover. First ranked Hannover Tigers faced 4th placed Hertener Loewen. Host Hannover Tigers (10-3) smashed guests from Herten (8-5) 91-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hertener Loewen. The game was mostly controlled by Hannover Tigers. Hertener Loewen was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hertener Loewen 41-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Hertener Loewen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Canadian forward Jacob Doerksen (200-87, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Jan-Peter Prasuhn (198-82) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Josh Taylor (201-87, college: E.Kentucky) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Maik Berger (175-84) added 16 points in the effort for Hertener Loewen. Hannover Tigers maintains first place in Group North with 10-3 record. Hertener Loewen at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Hannover Tigers will play against ALBA Berlin II (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hertener Loewen will play against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
