Regular Season Round 12: Rilski Sportist - Levski 66-68

The most exciting game of round 12 in the NBL took place in Samokov. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Rilski Sportist (2-8) to fifth ranked Levski (5-5) 68-66 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-66. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Agnesa Doychinova (188-73) who added 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Emi Ushaguelova (181-89) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American center Anne Farrell (187-88, college: Centenary, agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Levski moved-up to fourth place. Rilski Sportist lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Levski are looking forward to face league's second-placed Neftochimic in Burgas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rilski Sportist will play on the road against the league's leader Dunav 8806 (#1) in Ruse and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
