Naglis Palangos (#11) forced the game against Pieno Zvaigzdes (#8) into an overtime, but lost by three points 72-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Naglis Palangos won fourth quarter 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Naglis Palangos used huge pressure winning it 17-10 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 5-8. They outrebounded Naglis Palangos 43-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. Forward Eimantas Bendzius (203-90) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Evaldas Kairys (207-90) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Pieno Zvaigzdes' coach Roberts Stelmahers allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Russian forward Nikita Barinov (200-91) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mindaugas Reminas (190-86) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pieno Zvaigzdes (4-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Juventus. Naglis Palangos at the other side keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Pieno Zvaigzdes will play against Sakalai (#9) in Vilnius in the next round. Naglis Palangos will play at home against Neptunas in Klaipeda and hopes to get back on the winning track.
