Regular Season Round 16: BSW Sixers - Noerdlingen 63-84

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of BSW Sixers (10-4) in Sandersdorf on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Noerdlingen (11-3) 84-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BSW Sixers. It was a key game for the top position in Group South as both teams had the same 10-3 record before this meeting. The game was mostly controlled by Noerdlingen. BSW Sixers managed to win third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BSW Sixers 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kedrick Johnson (192-83, college: Lee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Noerdlingen players scored in double figures. American forward Aaron Fleetwood (206-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sascha Ahnsehl (186-86) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for BSW Sixers. Noerdlingen keeps a position of Group South leader, which they share with Gotha. BSW Sixers at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Leipzig. Noerdlingen is looking forward to face Licher Baeren (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BSW Sixers will play against the league's leader Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
