The game in Marijampole was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Utena (5-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Suduva (4-8). Suduva managed to secure a 4-point victory 77-73. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Utena won third quarter 19-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Belarusian center Tatsiana Melnikova (190-87) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. The former international guard Ligita Kinkeviciene (173-76) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jurga Budryte (187-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Ela Briedyte (176-79) added 20 points in the effort for Utena. Four Utena players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Suduva maintains seventh place with 4-8 record. Utena at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Suduva will play against higher ranked LKKA-Aistes (#6) in Kaunas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Utena will play at home against Sirenos in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
