Everything could happen in Ankara at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Banvit BK and 6th ranked Turk Telekom had identical 6-3 record. But Turk Telekom was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Balikesir 84-60 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Banvit BK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 34. Banvit BK looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Turk Telekom's players. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Alti Sport) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Banvit BK (7-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Banvit BK will face higher ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (#3) in Istanbul in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Galatasaray in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
