Regular Season Round 13: B.Muenchen - TBB Trier 76-70
Date: December 17, 2011
Very expected game when 14th ranked TBB Trier (4-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Bayern Muenchen (8-5) 76-70 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-70. TBB Trier was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: ACMT) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Jonathan Wallace (187-86, college: Georgetown, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). The former international center Maik Zirbes (205-90) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian forward Dragan Dojcin (205-76) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bayern Muenchen moved-up to fifth place. TBB Trier lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Bayern Muenchen will face s Oliver Baskets (#8) in Wuerzburg in the next round.
