Everything went according to plan when third ranked Siauliai (8-3) edged on the road 10th ranked Kedainiai (2-8) 74-71 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-71. Siauliai made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Cam Long (193-88, college: George Mason) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (183-84, college: BYU) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Aurimas Adomaitis (206-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward David McClure (198-86, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kedainiai's coach Gediminas Petrauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siauliai maintains third place with 8-3 record having four points less than leader Lietuvos rytas. Loser Kedainiai keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Siauliai will face Rudupis (#4) in Prienai in the next round. Kedainiai will play on the road against Techasas (#12) in Panevezys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
