Date: December 17, 2011
The most exciting game of round 13 in the Dameligaen took place in Kastrup. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Amager (4-9) to seventh ranked Falcon (4-9) 62-60 in the game for the fifth place. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 19-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Charlotte Hansen (176-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Falcon players scored in double figures. Power forward Mathilde Fogelstrom (184-93) answered with 8 points and 5 assists and point guard Ida Klussmann (169-93) added 10 points in the effort for Amager. Amager's coach Martin Kjaersgaard tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Falcon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aabyhoj and Amager. Amager lost seventh consecutive game. Falcon is looking forward to face Aabyhoj (#7) at home in the next round. Amager will play against Horsens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
