Fourteenth-ranked Antalya (1-9) made lots of trouble for first ranked Anadolu Efes (9-1) on Sunday. The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only four-point victory 106-102. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime then Antalya managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Anadolu Efes who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-12. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Anadolu Efes looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian power forward Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian guard Sasha Vujacic (200-84) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Anadolu Efes' coach Ufuk Sarica used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoExcell) produced 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Corey Fisher (185-88, college: Villanova) added 28 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes maintains first position with 9-1 record. Antalya at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with nine games lost. Anadolu Efes will face bottom-ranked Bandirma Kir. (#16) in Balikesir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Antalya will play on the road against Tofas in Bursa.
