We should mention about the upset which took place in Braunschweig, where higher ranked New Yorker Phantoms (7-6) lost at home to sixteenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (4-9) 70-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of New Yorker Phantoms. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But New Yorker Phantoms won third quarter 18-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Deutsche Bank Skyliners made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American forward Jermareo Davidson (208-84, college: Alabama) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) accounted for 22 points and 4 steals. Serbian forward Branko Jorovic (205-81, agency: Beo Basket) came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard LaMarr Greer (196-76, college: Florida St.) added 16 points respectively for New Yorker Phantoms in the defeat. New Yorker Phantoms' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with TBB Trier and Phoenix Hagen. New Yorker Phantoms at the other side keep the sixth position with six games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked BG Goettingen (#18) on the road.
