Tarsus Bld (#8) forced the game against Botas (#7) into an overtime, but lost by seventeen points 79-96 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime then Tarsus Bld managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Botas who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 20-3. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Tarsus Bld's 44. Botas forced 22 Tarsus Bld turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Tarsus Bld was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Monica Wright (180-88, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import center Courtney Paris (193-87, college: Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Ivory Latta (168-84, college: N.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and center Jessica Adair (193-86, college: G.Washington, agency: LBM Management) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Tarsus Bld. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Botas (5-5) moved-up to sixth place. Tarsus Bld lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Botas will face league's second-placed Galatasaray in Istanbul in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
