Sixteenth-ranked Baskent Genclik (5-11) made lots of trouble for third ranked Gaziantep (12-4). Gaziantep managed to secure only four-point victory 90-86. However their fans expected much easier game. Baskent Genclik was tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they could not keep up in overtime eventually losing that period 12-16. Gaziantep forced 23 Baskent Genclik turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Baskent Genclik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Erden Eryuz (188-80) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and American guard Antabia Waller (188-88, college: Auburn) accounted for 23 points. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. American power forward Marquise Gray (206-86, college: Michigan St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Melih Sevda (200-78) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Baskent Genclik in the defeat. Baskent Genclik's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Gaziantep. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Baskent Genclik at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be Pamukkale (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Baskent Genclik will play against Darussafaka (#8) in Istanbul.
