Very important is a road loss of second ranked Optimum TED (11-5) against fourth ranked Selcuk Universitesi (12-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Optimum TED was defeated by Selcuk Universitesi in Konya 80-64. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Selcuk Universitesi. Optimum TED was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Optimum TED was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Optimum TED's coach Murat Ozyer rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Selcuk Universitesi have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Gaziantep. Optimum TED at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Gelisim (#14) in Izmir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Optimum TED will play at home against Istanbul B.B. (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
