Very important is a road loss of second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (8-3) against fifth ranked Banvit BK (8-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Fenerbahce Ulker was defeated by Banvit BK in a tough game in Balikesir 66-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Fenerbahce Ulker. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 19-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. Banvit BK brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Fenerbahce Ulker was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Fenerbahce Ulker will play at home against the league's second-placed Galatasaray (#2) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
