We should mention about the upset which took place in , where higher ranked Darussafaka (9-7) lost to thirteenth ranked Tire Gucu (7-9) in a road game 59-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Tire Gucu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was power forward Tyrus Boswell (202-78, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: EM-PA) who scored 26 points. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Muhammed Baygul produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Goekhan Sunter (196-80, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tire Gucu. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Pertevniyal and Istanbul B.B. Loser Darussafaka keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Tire Gucu will face Istanbulspor (#16) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
