There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (7-7) lost on the road to eleventh ranked BBC Bayreuth (7-7) 90-86 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 34-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. BBC Bayreuth made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Guard Danny Gibson (180-84, college: S.Indiana, agency: Limelight Hoops) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 4 assists. Forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) contributed with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. BBC Bayreuth's coach Marco van den Berg used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
