Regular Season Round 19: Halychyna - Azovmash 79-97

Very expected game when 14th ranked Halychyna (2-18) lost to second ranked Azovmash (13-6) in Lviv 79-97 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Azovmash led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 30. They outrebounded Halychyna 35-20 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Azovmash looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for American guard Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists. The former international guard Artur Drozdov (199-80) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Azovmash players scored in double figures. American guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) answered with 26 points and 5 assists and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) added 26 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Halychyna. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Azovmash went down to third position due to points difference. Halychyna lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Azovmash will face Kryvbasbasket (#13) in Krivoy Rog in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
