Important game to mention about took place in Kyiv. First ranked Budivelnyk (15-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Khimik (13-8) 97-95 on Friday evening. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 33-26 run, which allowed them to win the game. Budivelnyk shot 65.4 percent from the field. Khimik was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (197-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 21 points and 7 rebounds. Budivelnyk's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists (made all of his fifteen free throws !!!) and the other American import forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Khimik players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-5 record. Khimik at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Khimik will play at home against Hoverla (#4) in Frankivsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
